Scotland clinch European team title

Scotland held on to beat England in the final of the European Amateur Team Championships to add the title to the world cup they won last year.

Paul O'Hara and Ross Kellett held on to clinch their singles matches to seal the title, after England battled back in the singles having lost the morning foursomes 2-0 to the inspired Scots.

Michael Stewart won his singles match against Dale Whitnell 5 and 4, but with Eisenhower Trophy winners Gavin Dear and Wallace Booth losing their matches it came down to O'Hara or Kellett to gain the matchwinning point.

O'Hara did that on hole 17, beating Luke Goddard 2 and 1, while Kellett beat Tommy Fleetwood by one hole.
