The Wales players had their own tribute to former teammate Ben Enoch in the first day’s play at the European Amateur Team Championship at Conwy.
Ben Enoch died tragically in a car accident earlier this summer, so the Wales team played in black golfing caps with his nickname ‘Been’ stitched into the back.
Ben’s memory had been honoured by a minute of applause at the opening ceremony where the players from around Europe had their opportunity to remember a former opponent and friend.
The Danish team wore badges with the Welsh flag to show their feeling for the 19-year-old who played for Great Britain and Ireland in the Jacques L’Eglise Trophy against continental Europe, as well as several other top amateur contests.
