Austria and the Czech Republic set up a winner-takes-all clash on Saturday for an automatic place in next year’s European Amateur Team Championship.
They both won their second matches in Flight C, having both beaten Greece and Turkey who will need to qualify for next season’s event.
Only one of the four teams in the bottom flight is guaranteed a place in next season’s top 20 teams, with three more places available for qualifiers.
Austria won a tight match against Greece 3-2, while the Czechs had a comfortable 5-0 victory over Turkey.
