Denmark and last year’s champions Ireland will contest the chance to win the second flight at the European Amateur Team Championships in Conwy.
Denmark beat Spain 3-2, with the Spanish having to concede one game because of an injured player.
Ireland, who had won the title for the last two years, have given themselves the chance of some consolation after missing out on the top flight thanks to a poor first day performance in hte strokeplay.
They beat Iceland 4-1 to earn their place in the second flight final.
Portugal beat Wales three and a half to one and a half, Joe Vickery the only home winner while Rhys Enoch halved his match. That result means the best Wales can finish is 15th.
They will play Belgium in that match after they lost 3-2 to the Netherlands, who will face Portugal for 13th.
