Scotland took an early advantage in the final of the European Amateur Team Championship, winning the morning foursomes 2-0 against England.
Wallace Booth and Michael Stewart were always in control of the second match, eventually gaining a series of halves to close the match out two and one.
It was closer in the top match but Gavin Dear and Glenn Campbell managed to hold onto their one hole lead and when Dale Whitnell’s putt slipped past on 18 for a par, Michael Stewart was able to roll his putt up beside the hole to secure the win by one hole.
England came back from a 2-0 deficit in the foursomes to beat Norway in the semi-final, while Scotland did the same after a slow start against Sweden in the quarter-finals.
